SPEECHLESS The maquette for this object was made from a mold of the artist’s own tongue, first cast in chocolate, then foam, then silver. Its ambiguity (is it a tongue, a conch, a snail or an anatomic part?) is integral to the visual dialogue which the piece is designed to generate. The final seat, in aluminum coated fiberboard, was fabricated by stereolithograpy and CAD-CAM technology
